Talent Development

According to Cyberseek.org there are over 500,000 open cybersecurity position across the country. This is a growing number and the potential for career opportunities within the cybersecurity career field are limitless.
The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative is working with all of the public institutions of higher learning across Virginia to help reduce this gap by graduating more students in cybersecurity related programs. This includes providing experiential learning opportunities for students to work with cybersecurity businesses as interns, creating additional cybersecurity curriculum to address gaps in learning outcomes, and to provide graduate students with unique experiences working with other students outside of their institution and disciplines. COVA CCI is committed to filling this need and in working with employers and students on developing the future cybersecurity workforce.
