RESEARCH AREA:

Dr. Sandip Roy has research interests at the intersections of cyber security, intelligent wireless communication, privacy-preserving machine learning, and adversarial machine learning. The current research of Dr. Roy centers around developing secure and lightweight authentication and access control protocols, privacy-preserving federated learning algorithm, single and multi-agent RL-based autonomous penetration testing framework, Age of Information (AoI), risk-adversarial machine learning algorithms, uncertainty quantification of deep learning, real-time IoT monitoring systems (e.g., 5G smart warehouse), design of quantum-safe access control protocols, policy scheduling for sustainable green IoT and intelligent internet of vehicles (IoV). He has published over 30 research articles in reputed journals, including IEEE Transactions, top-tier conferences, and book chapters. Most of my published works are supported by the DoD Center of Excellence in AI and Machine Learning (CoE-AIML), the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, and the National Science Foundation under various contract and grant numbers. Right now, he is acting as a co-principal investigator for a project funded by Deloitte Consulting, LLP.
