COVA CCI Annual Stakeholder Meeting

COVA CCI conducted its annual update and stakeholder meeting on July 31, 2024. During the meeting information on the various research, workforce, and student-focused programs was presented to the audience. Additionally, speakers from Christopher Newport University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University, and William & Mary presented information on their various cybersecurity related academic programs and research.  

John Costanzo, Chief Administrative Officer for COVA CCI, kicked off the meeting by expressing his gratitude for all of the partners and the support they provide to all of the various programs and students. He also highlighted that COVA CCI researchers generated over $27 million in externally funded research projects during FY 2023-2024. 

Costanzo said, “By working together we can use our collaborative resources to obtain larger externally funded grants and research, which will grow the cybersecurity capabilities and reputation of our universities and researchers within Virginia and around the world. In 2023, CCI researchers reviewed over $192 million in external grants.”
